REGISTRATION FOR THE FALL/WINTER 2023/24 SEASON IS NOW CLOSED.

REGISTRATION IS ONGOING THROUGHOUT THE SEASON AS SPACE PERMITS IN EACH SESSION. PRICING IS AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTED.

IF SPACE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE IN A SESSION YOU CAN CHOOSE TO BE ADDED TO THE WAITLIST AND YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED AUTOMATICALLY IF/WHEN A SPACE BECOMES AVAILABLE. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL ONLY HAVE TWO DAYS TO REGISTER IF A SPOT BECOMES AVAILABLE ON YOUR CHOSEN SESSION BEFORE THE SPOT IS OFFERED TO THE NEXT FAMILY ON THE WAITLIST.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Fall-Winter registration is ONLY available online and payment must also be made online. Skaters will ONLY be permitted on the ice if their registration has been fully completed and payment has been made.

CanSkate - Learn-to-Skate

  • These sessions are limited to those skaters who will be at least THREE years old by December 31 of the year the season begins.
  • CanSkate registrations include one weekly session.
  • For greater skill development, families can add an additional day (or two) per week for $100 each for the season (discount will be applied at checkout).

CanSkate - Intro to Figure Skating

  • These sessions are ideal for those children who have passed CanSkate Level 3 (able to skate forwards and backwards and stop) and who are interested in learning some figure skating skills such as edges, turns and spins.
  • Parents may choose to arrange a 15-minute private lesson during the session, with a Club coach for an additional fee. Arrangements must be made directly with the Club coach. See our website for a current list of private coaches.
  • Our Intro skaters are required to skate a minimum of two sessions per week. A third session is an additional $100 for the season (discount will be applied at checkout).

Junior/Intermediate/Senior STARSkate

  • These sessions are for skaters who would like to continue to learn figure skating skills and may want to consider competition.
  • Registration fees cover ice time only.
  • Skaters must make arrangements for private coaching with a Club coach. Club coaches will invoice parents independently (typically monthly) for their services. See our website for a current list of private coaches.
  • At the Junior and Intermediate levels, skaters are required to skate a minimum of two sessions per week.
  • It is highly recommended that Intermediate skaters register for three sessions per week in order to better progress in their skills.
  • At the Senior level, skaters must skate a minimum of three sessions per week. Additional sessions can be added at $100 each for the season (discount will be applied at checkout).

REGISTRATION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Exceptions for medical reasons supported by a doctor's note must be sent to registration@kingcityskating.com to be reviewed by the Board to be considered for a credit or refund. The Skate Canada/Admin Fee is non-refundable. There will also be additional processing fees associated with any withdrawals.
